Cartoon humor has long been an attention-getter and even moreso with the popularity of technology and how it has permeated many aspects of our lives. Michigan cartoonist Dan Rosandich was creating gag panel cartoons as long back as 1978 for what was then considered an “offbeat” magazine entitled “Personal Computing”. Even though Rosandich was creating tech-oriented humor for various publications like Science Digest and Datamation magazines, “I was a virtual technophobe” says Rosandich. And besides, computers were actually unethical at that time unless you were a business or ran your own company. Even owning a PC back then would have been financially unethical. It wasn’t until the late 90’s and after much goading by peers and professional clients and editors that Dan decided to invest in hardware and software and learn HTML.

“I was a late-bloomer in the technological realm” unlike many of my peers who were emailing artwork to their editors, Dan was still mailing and faxing his promotional samples. Dan’s cartoons now appear globally, and are avialbel for licensing via his online web catalog DansCartoons.com and his most recent venture has taken his work to the next level where many of his best gag panel cartoons about technology and PC’s and computers are available on gift items.
